Gamma-ray studies of MSPs in globular clusters Wang, Zhongxiang We have carried out studies of globular clusters (GCs) with gamma-ray emission based on the consideration that their high-energy emission arises from millisecond pulsars (MSPs) contained within them. A model is built based on the know properties of known MSPs. Using the model, we are able to provide constraints on numbers of MSPs in ~30 GCs. The results, combined with radio detections of MSPs in the GCs, provide insights for our understanding of the MSP population in GCs. In addition, I will report our recent work that finds gamma-ray pulsations from a newly discovered MSP in a GC.
