Could fast radio bursts be associated with compact binary mergers? Zhang, Ziliang The redshift distribution of fast radio bursts (FRBs) is still unclear. In this work, we constrain the energy function of FRB. We try Monte Carlo mothod to reproduce the redshift distribution of FRB and introduce an evolving initial mass function (IMF) to star formation rate. We find that the delay models with respect to star formation are consistent with the CHIME FRB catalog. We discuss the possible origins of our results.
