Measuring Polarization Properties of Pulsars in Globular Clusters with FAST
Liu, Tong
Pulsar polarization profiles provide very basic database for comprehending the emission processes of a pulsar. To understand diverse polarization features of pulsars, many theoretical models have been developed based on pulsar emission geometry. However almost all the existing pulsar profile database excludes most globular cluster (GC) pulsars due to their weak signal. The high sensitivity of FAST provides good opportunity to expand pulsar profile database for pulsars in GCs. We use FAST archival data to provide rotation measures (RM), dispersion measures, flux densities, and polarization properties for GC pulsars. By juxtaposing the properties of pulsars within GCs against those within the galactic plane, we aim to glean insights into the evolution of GC pulsars.
