Dark Matter Halo Effects on Pulsar Pulse Profiles
Liu, Yukun
We use a general relativistic two-fluid formalism to construct the structure of dark matter admixed neutron stars (DANSs). Specifically, we pay attention to the situation where those DANSs possess dark matter halos. Due to the gravitational effect of the dark matter halo, the X-ray pulse profiles of a pulsar will be changed. Our research finds a universal relation between the maximum deviation and M_halo/R_in, which is the ratio of halo mass and inner core radius. In addition, the exciting information is that the maximum deviation is larger than 100%, which is of great significance in observation.
