X-ray Pulse Profile of Scalarized Neutron Stars in Massive Scalar-tensor Theory of Gravitation Xu, Rui In scalar-tensor theories of gravitation, neutron stars can possess distinct spacetimes from those of General Relativity through spontaneous scalarization. The difference of spacetime reflects in the X-ray pulses from neutron stars as light propagates along geodesics around them. In this talk, I will present numerical solutions of scalarized neutron stars in a specific scalar-tensor theory with a massive scalar field, and compare the X-ray pulse profiles constructed with the spacetime metric of the scalarized neutron stars and with the spacetime metric in General Relativity.
