Abstract:
The effective masses of neutrons and protons for nuclear matter are calculated in relativistic mean field (RMF) theory at finite temperature. The iso-vector scalar ($\delta$) meson is taken into account to generate the proton-neutron mass splitting. Their impact on the neutrino emissivity processes of neutron stars are studied with different temperatures and RMF parameterizations. We find that the temperature plays a very important role in the neutrino emissivity processes at low density through the fraction of proton at neutron star matter. The neutrino emissivity becomes larger at high temperature. The proton-neutron mass splitting also will effect on the neutrino emissivity processes.
